October's Very Own x Canada Goose

The October’s Very Own collective involves Drake, Noah “40″ Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib as it represents the company to Drake’s various creative projects. In a fashion collaboration, OVO team-up with fellow Canadian entity Canada Goose to create their own version of the popular Chilliwack jacket. Originally conceived as outerwear for Canadian bush pilots, the jacket now incorporates references to the US N-3B Aircrew Heavy Zone jacket as it includes nylon twill satin as well as a coyote firm trim. The jacket is limited to 300 pieces and will retail through Nomad, Nom De Guerre, Nepenthes, colette and Opening Ceremony. A suggested retail price is set at $900 USD

P.S. Drake was one out of the Four to win the spot of GQ "Breakout Man of the Year" YAY DRIZZY! On another notes there's been whispers about Drake's title for his sophomore album . . "Take Care" For the moment (of course) he's mentioned working with 40 but hopes to do some collabo's with Justin Timberlake

Drake Opens up to XXL Magazine

Read this article and see how Drake really feels about the hate.

How do you respond to the hate?

Drake: I don’t respond. I cut myself off from outlets where I would be able to say anything anyway, but it’s really not my style to really say anything to people, you know. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, man, honestly, the music feedback I don’t really trip off of ’cause I know everybody likes their own thing so I don’t really trip when someone doesn’t like my music because what you’ll tend to do is there’ll be 40 people that say, “Oh, dope song,” and then there’ll be one guy that’s like, “Yo, this dude’s overrated, f*ck Drake,” and that’s the one you’ll pay attention to. That one guy will make you feel like everybody’s online dissing you so it’s easy to get caught up in the trap of the feedback. But to be honest that’s not even the stuff that bothers me, man. You want to know what really bothers me?

    What?

Drake: What really bothers me is that fact that all my life, I always get caught in the worst, most unphotogenic poses ever. Now people follow me with cameras and are just clicking away and I always feel like I just look mad different in pictures. I hate seeing pictures of myself online when I’m leaving a spot or whatever; I just always get caught laughing ’cause I’m always outside making jokes or whatever with the people, but I always end up looking so stupid like that’s the shit that I’m always like, “Man, I wish that didn’t happen,” you know? But as for people’s opinions and shit like that, it’s all good. That’s what’s going to happen. You know people are entitled to their opinion and it takes a certain type of individual to really come online and give their opinion of your music, positive or negative. I don’t know if you do it, but I can’t say I’ve ever gone online and posted underneath someone’s song, and be like, “Dope song, son.” Or, “That shit is wack.” I’ve never done that before. It’s just a certain community of people that really feel like that’s their outlet and I know that me and my friends aren’t any of them so I don’t know who those people are and I can’t really take their opinion too close to heart just because I’m not really sure what those people are made of and if their opinion’s even valid so I just kind of keep it moving.

If it all ended today, if it got taken away, what would you want people to take away?

Drake: It can’t end yet. It can’t end yet because the story’s not doneSource URL: https://modenafashione.blogspot.com/search/label/Drake

"OMG"

Talk about being side track, this young female flashes Drake while performing Bedrock, and he says " OH MY GOD " I literally bust out laughing, like that was the first time it happen to him I guess. Then at the end of the performance he dubs the air in memory of Lil Wayne. I can't wait to see him perform at Summer Jam June 2010. He's a good performer, thus I look forward to it =)Source URL: https://modenafashione.blogspot.com/search/label/Drake

XXL x Drake

    Part 3 (and final post)
Remember we gave you Part 1: Cover of XXL ,Part 2: Nicki Minaj photo shoot, now Part 3: Drake's photo shoot!

What are your thoughts on this cover?
It’s great to me. I’ve never done XXL, so it’s exciting. And to be doing it with Nicki, man, that’s my dog. That’s more than my dog. That’s, like, we have the most interesting relationship, ’cause it’s so multilayered. That’s my co-worker, my peer, my family. But, at the same time, on any given day, she’s, like, the love of my life… Nicki’s a very intriguing character. To be doing Italic
it with her is great, man.

So since the success of your mixtape So Far Gone you’ve become rap’s golden child. Has it been hard getting your debut together, to live up to that hype?
Not hard. If you’re not struggling, then there’s something wrong. If it was effortless, then I’d be scared. If I was like, “Yeah, this is it, this is the one.” I’m still listening to it, and I’m like, “Man, I don’t know, it could be better.” But that’s just me. That’s just the artist in myself competing with myself. And now it’s so crazy, because, to be in the industry, a lot of people start playing you their music. You start hearing other people’s hits and sound, and you start thinking, Wow, okay, this is all the music that’s coming out this year. And you start thinking about yourself fitting into that, you know? Like, last year, other than Blueprint 3, it was a pretty dry year for hip-hop, as far as, like, the legends. But this year it’s way different. You know, you’ve got OutKast rumored to be coming out.

    Drake - Over

“I’ve shot a lot of videos before, but this is my first attempt to establish myself as Drake the artist. Shooting the other videos I’ve done has been great. I really don’t care what other people think about them, they were great experiences for me. I’ve learned a lot from them. Today, I’m shooting with somebody I really look up to and respect. I’m shooting with Anthony Mandler.”

“The song is so aggressive, and it’s sort of a love story in the video. It has a lot to do with the album [Thank Me Later]. The album is about finding love, feeling ‘Have I sold my soul’ as far as ‘Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? Will I ever find that pure love?’ Those elements are in the video.

The song “Over” touches on Drake reaction to fame and stardom. I wanted people to understand I could have lost it. ‘Over’ could have been my entire album. Just ’cause that’s what this industry and game will do to you if you lose yourself.”

P.S. I can just feel Drake's aggressiveness in this video. Kudos to you Drake !

BP3 Tour: Jay-Z, Trey Songz & Young Jeezy x M.O.B.

Jay-Z's done it again! And knowing us, we couldn't miss it. Yesterday March 2nd,2010 he continued on the BP3 tour and his next stop was MSG in New York. The energy he brought? C R A Z Y! Then again that is nothing new to Hov.

We got there while Trey was performing and I must admit he brought the ladies out & had them OPEN!

He brought Fab out to perform "Say Ahh"..

NY-Z? If you were in attendance you would understand :) but he SHUT IT DOWN! As much times as I've seen Hov perform the energy never changes. He brought Jeezy out, Jeezy brought Akon. I never saw Jeezy in concert but he was poppin, little Southern thang. lol

Now they really had the whole audience puzzled with Lil' Wayne being there! Being that the whole world was under the impression that he was supposedly for the 2nd time going to jail but was at MSG? CRAZY!

OVERALL THE CONCERT WAS A SUCCESS! & I'm happy we were there to experience :-*Source URL: https://modenafashione.blogspot.com/search/label/Drake
